It gives us great pleasure to invite you to register your attendance for the 2025 Annual Meeting of African Science Academies (AMASA 2025). The AMASA 2025 Conference and NASAC General Assembly Meeting will be graciously hosted by the Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology in Rabat, Morocco from 17–21 November 2025.

The theme of the Conference is “Water and Green Hydrogen – Scientific Pathways for Sustainable Development in Africa” and will focus on 5 sub-themes:

  1. Water Security and Management
  2. Green Hydrogen Development
  3. Water-Energy-Climate Nexus
  4. Policy and Governance
  5. Education and Capacity Enhancement

AMASA 2025 will serve as a platform to explore how science and technology particularly in water and green hydrogen can drive Africa’s transition toward a more sustainable and resilient future. The sessions will feature expert panels, thematic presentations, and plenary discussions designed to foster rich engagement among delegates.

Enclosed, please find the AMASA 2025 flyer for your wide circulation and the concept note of the event for your detailed information.  Should you be interested in submitting a paper for consideration by the AMASA 2025 Scientific Committee  to either give a talk or present a poster, kindly fill out the 2025 AMASA Call for Papers before 15 August 2025.  Kindly note that selected delegates will be contacted with further instructions on the next steps.

Please be informed that neither registration nor submission of papers guarantees your participation in AMASA 2025.  Once the selection process is finalized, we will revert with a decision of the Scientific Committee regarding your participation by 31 August 2025. Due to limited partial travel grants that will be awarded, we highly encourage you to secure your own or alternative source of support for your travel to Rabat. Hassan II Academy of Science and Technology has generously offered to pay for the local hospitality costs of this event.
